Outlander: Sassenach

While we wait . . . and wait . . . and wait for the second half of Outlander Season One to premiere on April 4th, I thought I’d have a little fun with Ep101: SASSENACH. This is by no means a comprehensive – nor accurate – summary of the episode; however, I hope you enjoy it!

  2. Loved it. Keep it up! Nice to get new stuff!!

    1. Indeed. Can’t wait for more real new stuff!

  3. Brilliant! As I am partially hearing I have been struggling watching the episodes online with no subtitles\captions and this really helped. I would so love to see all 8 episodes done this way but no pressure, seriously. Thank you for all your hard work. xx

    1. Sorry to hear you’ve had a bit of a struggle enjoying the episodes, but I’m glad to learn I could help in a small way. Be sure to check out my reviews and Top 30s. Hopefully, they’ll help to enhance your experience. Happy New Year!

  4. That was great – thanks so much! “Wrong husband – three hours later…” really cracked me up.

    1. Hee hee. Thank you, Sonia!

      1. Yes – that _was_ brilliant… took me a second to get the reference!

  5. Hilary Brown

    1. Glad you liked it, Hilary. Hope the full res images show up clearly on your iPad. :oP

  6. You are hilarious! This was so much fun and I’m looking forward to the next ones.

    1. Thank you, Amy. Have to give the ol’ fingers a rest, then I’ll be back at it!

  7. Thank you so very much for this account of episode one! As I was in Scotland at the time of the airing, I have not seen any of the episodes, although there was so much written hype and loads of trailers (many of which I could see, many I could not) that I did not feel left out. Now I have had the pleasure of enjoying your fine humour and seeing a lot of the filming. Well done – very well done. I look forward to the next installment!

    1. So glad you enjoyed it, Irene. Are you still in Scotland?

      1. Just for another two weeks. What a lovely country to spend months in. I may just adopt it as my own.

        1. Absolutely! So, you’ll be back in the States, or wherever, for the second half of the season. You’ll have time to catch up before the second half of the season starts!

          1. It depends on whose TV I’m visiting at the time! I know that some people were able to save it in order to watch it over and over again. I’m hoping for at least one of those friends to be on my Friends and Family tour of the U.S.!

  8. Kathryn Findlay Mayfield

Great job! I love it! Can’t wait for the next episode.

    1. Me, too! I need a staff of #Outlander elves to help me!

  9. Glenda Smith

This was fun! Thanks for this. Sam and Cait are simply phenomenal! You can see the second Jamie falls in love with Claire, after she’s fixed his shoulder. The way he stares up at her….Oh, and that scene when Jamie jumps off his horse to stop Claire from fleeing and he’s all bloody and wearing that kilt magnificently!….Sigh…..Um…Where was I? Oh yea. Thanks again. These definitely help with LONG hiatus. Note to self….Watch Ep 1-8 AGAIN. 🙂

    1. I have only seen each episode a few times. Trying to preserve the novelty. Of course, after this project, I’m a little tired of ep101. Shhhh. Don’t tell anyone.

    1. Why thank you, Jasminum!

  10. Therese McCauley

Clever, clever, clever and SO much fun to read. Thank you for doing this!

  18. Well, how much fun was that! I loved it. I never know what you’re going to come up with…you constantly amaze us. I know Diana is aware or your blog so I hope she sees this. She’ll LOVE it. She often posts links to Outlander creations she finds amusing. This is definitely a candidate.

    1. Thank you, Jo Ann. I think she’s been a bit too busy to notice my latest posting. That’s okay. She’s given my blog plenty of exposure in the past!
